100 years of company history

History

Over the past 100 years Disch has consequently developed from a manufacturer of biscuits and confectionary to a leading pharmaceutical company. Located between Zürich and Basel DISCH has concentrated on producing innovative dosage forms such as Lozenges, Soft Chews, Pastilles and coated Dragees.

1903 Company founded in Othmarsingen, Switzerland by Jakob Disch. Manufacturing of biscuits and confectionery
1933 Development of first food supplement Sport Mint soft chews with vitamin C in collaboration with Hoffmann-La Roche
1971 Acquisition by Nestlé
1991 Acquisition by Ricola AG
1993 Beginning of manufacturing of pharmaceutical products
2003 Focus on contract manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and food supplements
2015 Acquisition by Alrupa Holding
